The West End is THE heart of Atlanta in the eyes of many. It boasts historical sites such as The Wrens Nest (home of Joel Chandler Harris the writer of the Uncle Remus books), The Hammonds House Museum (one of the 3 oldest houses in the West End), The Historic West Hunter Street Baptist Church, and most importantly the Atlanta University Center consisting of the most historic HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) in the Country to include Spelman College, Morehouse College, Morris Brown University, Clark Atlanta University & The ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center). The west end is also notorious for The shrine of The Black Madonna and a plethora of Vegan and Vegetarian restaurants including Tassili’s Raw Reality, Wadada, Soul Vegetarian, YG Cafe’, Bakari’s Plant-Based Pizza, Vegan Dream Donuts. There are also brewery’s and restaurants along Lee & White and the West End Beltline trail. This tour is 105 minutes and the cost is $2 per minute per person and seats up to five people.
One of our dynamic Pedicab Operators will meet you at a pickup location that is safe for you and your valuables. Other than the initial fee, there is no minimum time a person/persons must stay on the tour. By meeting at our preferred pickup location, the tour begins once all parties are safely secured on the pedicab. Eating, Drinking and Smoking are permitted but must be cleared in advance (strictly enforced) to honor those who may have allergies. Please be advised that THERE MAY BE TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURES FOR FIFA and this may impact travel times but we will do our absolute best to accommodate you and give you an unforgettable experience.
